Thumbplay Music service previously enticed music lovers to enjoy their favorite songs right on their Android-based devices. Now, the company has added yet another feature which will allow users to even listen to their favorite tracks offline like traveling through subways or during flights. This cloud-based music service is claimed to be the first to enable caching on the Android smartphones.

The service now allows users to play their preferred songs anywhere and anytime from the Thumbplay Music library without any network connection. They can store albums and playlists to listen to music offline as well. This service is said to be the only one catering to the cloud-based music service in the U.S.

Evan Schwartz, CEO and Co-Founder of Thumbplay, commented, “The beauty of a cloud-based music service is that your personal collection is with you all the time. And now — with the ability to save offline on Thumbplay Music — Android, BlackBerry and soon iPhone users can enjoy the ultimate in portability AND accessibility. Whether you are on a plane, the subway, or on your favorite running path with a spotty Internet connection, your music plays on.”

Users can search for their favorite artists and albums from a portfolio of nearly nine million tracks under license from more than 35,000 independent labels. Music lovers can create their own favorite iTunes playlist or Artist import, thanks to the Thumbplay’s Music companion desktop application. They can regenerate their iTunes playlists right on their smartphones by syncing it with PC or Mac.

With the music discovery feature, users can immediately create customized recommendations from select songs. It helps in building playlists while exploring new tracks. By right-clicking on the ‘Share’ option, users can access songs and share with their friends on Facebook. Later it will also be made available on Twitter. They can also enjoy a preview of songs before storing it in playlists.

Music lovers can subscribe to the Thumbplay Music service at a rate of $9.99 per month from the Android Market. They can even enjoy a free ‘no strings attached’ three-day trial.
