Fans of the Android platform will soon be able to avail of a new tablet dubbed Storage Options Scroll Extreme. This upcoming offering is slated to operate on the latest Ice Cream Sandwich OS by Google and will extend support to 3D content output.

Touted to be lightweight in nature, the device features a 1.2GHz Cortex A8 CPU with Mali-400 dual core graphics processing and 1GB DDR3 RAM. The 8GB in-built storage capacity can be externally expanded with a microSD card of up to 32GB.

“The last few months have been truly staggering for us at Storage Options. We have been blown away by the support we have received for the Scroll Excel and we were obviously delighted when it was picked as The Gadget Show’s favorite budget tablet back in November,” said Paul Evison, Head of Brand for Storage Options.

“We have always known that our customers wanted quick, slick and responsive devices that are packed with features, without the burden of a premium price tag and the Scroll Extreme really does deliver exactly that. This is the first tablet we have produced on the Android 4.0 operating system and the whole user experience is vastly improved and far more intuitive than previous versions of Android,” added Evison.

This gadget is equipped with a 9.7-inch touchscreen which displays visuals in a resolution of 1024 x 768p. The rear panel is dotted by a 2MP camera that is supported by a 0.3MP front facing one. Video streaming and web browsing is enhanced with support for Flash Player.

The Storage Options Scroll Extreme price for pre-order is revealed to be £189.99. In the initial phases, it will be made exclusively available through the eBuyer website.
