Sprint unveils Sanyo Incognito QWERTY handset

Sprint Kyocera Logos Sprint in association with Kyocera Communications recently introduced a full QWERTY handset dubbed Sanyo Incognito SCP-6760.

The flip phone features a high-resolution 2.6-inch QVGA internal display and titanium black mirrored external surface. The handset’s keypad is touch-activated and features vibrating ‘haptic’ feedback as buttons are pressed. The Sanyo SCP-6760 incorporates a 2 megapixel camera, advanced music and video features and expandable microSD memory.

“I’m sure Incognito will be topping many holiday gift lists this season. It’s such a clean, sophisticated looking phone but there are so many features at your fingertips when you turn on the glow-through display and open the QWERTY flip. With its amazing combination of style and functionality for less than $50, it’s about as foolproof a gift idea as you’ll see this year,” remarked Atsushi (Andy) Kodera, vice president and deputy general manager at Kyocera Communications Inc.

The Sprint device supports AAC/AAC+/MP3/WMA music files as well as H.263/H.264/MPEG4/WMV video formats. The Incognito is inclusive of popular media and messaging applications including Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter directly via Sprint One Click carousel. Sprint Navigation’s voice and on-screen, turn-by-turn driving directions, Sprint NFL Mobile Live, NASCAR Sprint Cup Mobile and real-time scores and statistics as well as Sprint Mobile Email for access to AOL, Yahoo, WindowsLive, Gmail and corporate email are also included.

The Sanyo Incognito will be made available exclusively via the network carrier’s official site on November 30 and through Sprint retail channels from December 6 for $49.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and with a new two-year Service Agreement.
