Following a customs delay, the Sprint HTC Evo 4G LTE is ready to reach pre-order customers by May 24. Going by the announcement made, the handset in question was supposed to start shipping on May 18. However, an Apple patent issue led to its delay, with the release date postponed to this Thursday.

For now, prospective users who placed an order online via Sprint will welcome their smartphones when two days are up. The details regarding its global rollout have not received a mention at present. The HTC device price is marked at $199.99 under a new eligible upgrade or 2-year agreement, the pre-orders of which began on May 7.
