The Virgin Mobile payLo Unlimited Talk and Text plan has just been announced for a price of $40 per month. Potential users availing of the scheme are entitled to receive unlimited minutes for calls and messages including texts, emails, IMs and images as well as 50MB of web access.

The plan is touted to be ‘ideal’ for the carrier’s feature phones like the Samsung M575. The handset houses a slide-out QWERTY keypad fitted on the body along with a 2.4-inch display. There’s a 2MP camera cum camcorder thrown into the mix, and even the network operator’s GPS-enabled navigator function. The device provides web access and Bluetooth connectivity, apart from support for microSD cards.

“Even with the huge increase in data usage, there are still millions of people who mainly talk and text and they deserve reliable service and phones. Half of our current payLo customers are primarily talking and texting, and now we’re providing to them unlimited value that suits their needs,” commented Mark Lederman, director, payLo.

The network operator’s new plan does not necessitate an activation fee and a long-term contract. Prospective users simply need to extend their balances by employing the Virgin Mobile or payLo Top-Up cards. It can also be availed of via credit or debit card payments, if not a PayPal online account. The Talk and Text plan offers 1500 minutes and messages as well as 30MB data for a monthly price of $30. Alternately, the Talk scheme provides 400 minutes of talk time, text messages at 15 cents each and $1.50 per MB of data for $20 a month.

The Virgin Mobile payLo Unlimited Talk and Text plan at $40 per month, is already available to customers.
