CordLite charger cable lights up in the dark

CordLite iOS Charging Cable 02

Hooking up devices to a power source in the dark of the night can offer a slightly clumsy experience, though that should be sorted if the all new CordLite charger cable comes to life. This cable gets illuminated at just a touch of the hand, rendering the charging port clearly visible when users need to juice up gadgets at night or in dimly-lit conditions.

Optimized to work with iDevices like the iPod, iPhone and iPad, it works just the way the standard USB cable arriving with them functions. Since the light gets activated on users picking up or holding the peripheral, there are no switches or buttons allocated on its body. The cord is fitted with bead-blasted aluminum touch plates over a white or black plastic body that’s touted to be sufficiently rigid. As the processes involved in designing the cables are expensive, the developing company has knocked on Kickstarter to attain the required funds. The exterior is laser-etched for making its surface appealing in terms of aesthetics.

For now, the project needs $70,000 cumulatively for the production to start. The last time we looked, the amount had reached $28,674. Backers still have roughly a month left for supporting the peripheral and can show their enthusiasm for it till June 27. There are a host of offers lined up for people offering varying amounts, with the minimum sum being $1. As far as the accessory is concerned, its lighting capability is the highlight with other functions remaining the same. A microUSB version is on the cards too, as mentioned on Engadget.
