Spice Dream Uno first Hindi Android One handset outed in India

With membership to the Android One club already, the Spice Dream Uno has been introduced once again in the form of a new variant with the suffix ‘H’ which signifies that it comes with Hindi language support. This new smartphone bears a price tag of Rs 6499, and is set to be made available through online as well as offline retail channels.

It’s the same dual SIM device which the original Spice Dream Uno happens to be, but its software has been designed specifically for the 300 million Hindi speaking people within the country. Its makers have said that it’s especially targeted towards states like Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar, where Hindi is the primary language.

The Dream Uno lands pre-loaded with a Hindi keyboard, and even features support for voice input in the said language. And that’s not all; special Hindi versions of apps like Chrome, Search, YouTube and Google Maps have also been pushed into it. Sony Live, Hungama, Spice Cloud, Google Translate and AajTak are the few other pre-installed apps it bears within its interface.
