SPB develops Shell 3D User Interface for Symbian^3 devices

SPB Shell 3D Symbian^3SPB has announced a new user interface designed especially for Symbian^3 based devices, the Shell 3D. With this 3D user interface, the company says that users can anticipate an overall enhanced experience together with a visually appealing design.

Jogging down the memory lane, we remember a similar user interface was also released earlier by the company for Android devices. The Shell 3D for Symbian Anna and Belle is built on the SPB UI Engine.

“Having our solution on Symbian proves clearly our multiplatform approach to our toolsets. With this rollout we meet the demand of ODM, OEM and Mobile Operators as they are all looking for the ways to reduce individual development costs and shorten time to market,” explains Sebastian-Justus Schmidt, CEO of SPB Software.

The new interface creates a 3D environment with suitable animation and allows for fast switching between screens. It is also said to introduce some new features in the devices it is designed for. Better folder organization and homescreen management will also ensure convenient navigation through the device and quicker access to functions and apps.

Priced at $14.99, the SPB Shell 3D user interface for Symbian^3 based devices is fabricated to support the Anna and Belle variants of the operating system. With this release, the company has decided to slash the price of SPB Mobile Shell 3.7. It will now be available at a price of $14.99, similar to the Shell 3D.
