Sony Xperia C is already available in India, costs Rs 20,500

The Sony Xperia C has landed in India and just like countless other devices, it has been put up for pre-order through various e-retailers before the OEM gets a chance to introduce it officially. Prospective customers can head over to Flipkart, Snapdeal or Saholic to pre-book the gadget if they are willing to spend a little under Rs 20,500 for it.

Those wondering about the specifications of the Sony device will be glad to know that it operates with the assistance of the Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 platform. A software update for the more recent versions of the OS may also be in the pipeline for the smartphone. And when it comes to multitasking, you can rest assured as it has a quad core MTK6589 processor that can sprint at a maximum speed of 1.2GHz.

The chipset is accompanied by 1GB of RAM and even though it has merely 4GB onboard storage, it tries to make up for it by offering a microSD expansion slot for increasing the capacity by up to 32GB. A 5-inch qHD capacitive screen shares the front panel with a 0.3MP webcam for video conferencing purposes and some essential sensors, while the flip side of the Xperia phone mainly sports an 8MP camera with pulsed LED flash.

It goes without saying that you can expect all the common attributes like Wi-Fi, 3G support, Bluetooth, GPS and more. And 10 hours of talk time is what you can expect from the smartphone, thanks to its 2330mAh battery.
