Although Gionee Elife E6 was supposed to go up for sale in India in August as was announced when it was launched, the device took its own sweet time to walk into the country. Nevertheless, it is finally here and has been pegged at just under Rs 23,000.
The Gionee smartphone has been fitted with a 5-inch IPS OGS touchscreen of 1920 x 1080p resolution which has a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating on top for keeping scrapes and scratches ay bay. Packed into a chassis measuring 142.5 x 69.4 x 7.9 millimeters, the sleek gadget features a 5MP camera on the front panel, while its back surface is graced by a 13MP auto focus snapper capable of recording full HD videos.
Prospective customers can expect the device to offer an intuitive interface considering that it gorges on a handful of Jelly Bean, version 4.2 to be precise. 2GB of system memory is present within the confines of the gadget to support the Cortex A7 processor with 4 cores, each of which clocks in at 1.5GHz. There’s 32GB of total internal memory, but it cannot be expanded further.
The device comes splashed in shades of black and white and has been deployed with the essential sensors. You will find a PowerVR Series5XT GPU inside it along with a 2000mAh battery. The other pointers on the specifications list are Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G support, FM radio and GPS to name a few.
The Gionee Elife E6 has already gone official in India and will be available for a price of Rs 22,999.
