Sony Ericsson publicizes the launch of W995 Walkman

Sony Ericsson W995 Sony Ericsson has a new addition to its Walkman series with its latest W995 phone. It is claimed to be the first Sony Ericsson handset to offer the Media Go application. To enhance the user experience, the company has teamed up with Gaj-It.com’s Tanya Hall who has designed a video guide for using the W995 Walkman.

The video guide explains how to use the new Media Go PC application. The user guide will be available on the latest Sony Ericsson W995 Walkman phone microsite. The site also incorporates added video tutorials, product and lifestyle photography, and a range of vox pop interviews screening public reactions to the new handset. The resources present on the microsite will also be accessible through Sony Ericsson’s corporate YouTube and Picasa applications.

The handset offers quality mobile video experience by providing built in stereo speakers and a 2.6” color display. It includes an 8.1 megapixel camera that provides face recognition, Photo Flash and up to 16x digital zoom. The Wi-Fi and TurboG features of the device facilitate easy access to YouTube and several other entertainment sites. Moreover it supports 8GB Memory Stick Micro and a 3.5mm audio socket.

“With Media Go it’s so easy to bring your media with you. You can effortlessly transfer entertainment onto your phone and whether it’s a movie, news podcast, favourite song or photo, thanks to the superior transferring capability of Media Go, you will have great quality, high resolution video every time,” remarks Timo Maassmann, Marketing Business Manager at Sony Ericsson.

The Media Go application can be downloaded for free and allows users to sync their entertainment files from the computer to the handset. The application automatically converts the file making it ready to be played on the 320 x 240 resolution screen. Users just have to drag and drop their contents from their PC on to the mobile phone. Further the handset presents the SensMe application that makes file organization effortless. It thus permits users to easily create play lists based on the mood and tempo.

Sony Ericsson would be launching the W995 Walkman mobile phone around June and July 2009, across the globe.
