Amazon has been pretty upfront about various renditions of its applications for not just Appple’s ‘i’ devices but also those based on the Android and BlackBerry platform. Windows Phone 7 is the latest to have been added in Amazon’s list of mobile shopping apps. Users can brace themselves for efficient searches while being able to purchase from among the slew of products Amazon.com has on offer.
The free application has been tailored to suit the needs of a fast and convenient mechanism to shop through Amazon. It throws open a plethora of merchants while displaying the complete information about a product in a single view. Fabricated specifically for Windows Phone 7, this new application empowers users to scroll horizontally as they search and buy items in an effortless manner. It leaves out the need to freight new screens or even move away from the app for that matter.
“We are thrilled to add Windows to our suite of Amazon shopping applications,” commented Sam Hall, director of Amazon Mobile. “We’ve combined the unique attributes of Windows Phone 7 with the popular Amazon shopping features customers have come to know and trust, to create an app that’s customized for Windows Phone 7 devices.”
This Amazon app is further said to pull out the most from the Windows Phone 7 interface, including the panoramic-style layout. A simple swipe should enable users to see the details of a product while also reading a couple of reviews and browsing for related items. The method of purchasing a product via Amazon merchant partners becomes simpler thanks to this app.
What’s more, users can seamlessly access their Amazon.com account to avail of most liked shopping attributes irrespective of their location. This includes Gold Box Deal of the Day and Lightening Deals along with customized recommendations, 1-Click ordering, Wish Lists, order tracking and Amazon Prime membership.
Windows Phone 7 users can avail of the Amazon app as a free download via the Windows Phone Marketplace.
