Sharp Feel UX interface to layer ICS devices soon

Sharp Feel UX

A new user interface dubbed the Sharp Feel UX will soon be seen melding with ICS devices churned out by the Japanese designer and manufacturer of electronic products. A collaboration between Sharp and Frog Design will bring this UI to life in the multinational company’s newest handset lineup.

The layout follows a minimalistic pattern, with easy-to-use icons strewn over the surface. It has been crafted keeping in mind novice as well as expert smartphone users. The wallpaper for the lockscreen called the Welcome Sheet in this UI, is touted to offer plenty of room for customization.

There are 5 distinct kinds of pictures including images of family members and travel places to be used as the Welcome Sheet. The lockscreen’s main highlight is the fact that all forms of functions like calling, checking emails or missed calls and photo viewing can be accessed even while the phone is locked. Widgets like shortcut icons and other data are neatly allocated so that they do not cover the wallpaper.

The homescreen constitutes 3 different screens to expand the personalization options for the concerned device. Firstly, there’s an Application Sheet that lists out apps in the form of grids. Likewise, a Widget Sheet displays the respective user’s desired widgets, while a Shortcut Sheet includes shortcuts to well known functions. Switching between these screens is said to be a breeze, as the required app or information is served right at the fingertips.
