Samsung to debut Corby, Corby Pro and Galaxy Spica handsets at CES, 2010

Samsung also appears all geared up to showcase some of its best mobile innovations at the CES. The company will roll out its Corby, Corby Pro and Galaxy Spica phones. Besides these Samsung’s exclusive AMOLED displays, 800MHz processor speeds and pledge to the Android operating system and design innovation are among the others to be exhibited.

The Samsung Galaxy Spica phone boasts of being a slim and compact Android 1.5 powered smartphone. It is anticipated to provide seamless connectivity thanks to easy access to Google mobile services and social network sites like Facebook and MySpace. It is armed with an 800MHZ application processor and allows users to download applications from the Android Market. Supporting DivX, it also includes DNSe 2.0 and a 3.5 mm ear jack.

Proffering complete multimedia features Google services like Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube, and Google Talk are also supported. It also sports a 3.2” HVGA 320×480 TFT, a 3MP Camera with Auto Focus, full Web browser and support for Bluetooth 2.1, USB 2.0, MicroUSB, Wi-Fi. With an internal memory of 180MB, the phone also incorporates a micro SD slot expandable up to 32GB.

Next in the pipeline, the Samsung Corby bundled with the company’s simple and easy to use Touchwiz user interface and haptic feedback system. Users can customize the phone with applications and widgets while a substantial library of additional applications can also be access at Samsung’s online widgets store. Incorporated with the ‘one finger zoom’ feature, users can also take advantage of the ‘smart unlock’ function. The phone allows instant updation of current status to Facebook, MySpace and Twitter thanks to a simple Pop-up SNS notification attribute.

Various community sites like YouTube, Flickr, Picasa and Photobucket and more are also supported. Incorporated with a 2.8” QVGA 262K TFT-LCD Full touch screen, the phone is encompassed with attributes like FM Radio with RDS, USB 2.0, BT 2.1/ EDR connectivity, video support for H.263, MPEG4, WMV and audio support for Poly 64, SP-Midi, i-melody, MP3, AAC, AAC+, WMA. Besides, users can also flaunt it as fashion accessory courtesy the Fashion Jacket aka changeable battery cover. Yes, users can choose from yellow, white, orange, pink and two additional back covers that include a distinct pattern design and a standard cover. A 2MP CMOS camera is also onboard.

Finally, the Samsung Corby Pro includes a full slide out QWERTY keyboard that allows users to send text messages. Loaded with a host of entertainment and multimedia capabilities, it includes push e-mail services, conversational SMS and access to Facebook and MySpace as well. Users can also benefit from the Pro’s 3MP digital camera, Wi-Fi access, 3G/HSDPA and quad band connectivity. It comes complete with a 3.5mm ear jack and dedicated music keys.

The phones will be up for display at the CES, 2010.
