Samsung mobile phone upgradation plan is slated to be launched in India pretty soon

Samsung has come up with a new upgradation plan for India that allows users to buy a certain smartphone on installment-basis and switch to a new phone 6 months after purchasing it. This scheme will be applicable on the company’s select high-end gadgets which have already been released in the nation.

Phones like Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Note 2, Galaxy S4, S4 mini and S3 can be bought under the plan and you also get the option of purchasing tablets such as the Galaxy Tab 3 and Galaxy Tab 10.1. There’s an 18-month EMI program as well as Easy Buy Back which comes into play when you wish to upgrade to another device.

Samsung has collaborated with banks such as HDFC, ICICI, Standard Chartered and Citibank to make it easier for potential buyers to purchase devices under the Stay New plan. The 18-month installment scheme is applicable on credit cards of these banks only. And it should be noted that these EMIs are not interest-free and thus users will have to fork out the relevant amount.

The guys over at Business Standard learnt from a PTI report that the South Korean OEM’s distribution partner, Ingram Micro will be taking care of the buying back scheme and helping users upgrade to a new gadget. 6 to 12 months after purchasing a phone or a tablet, they can contact the distributors to upgrade their respective devices.
