Samsung i8000 gets approval from FCC

FCC Samsung i8000 Samsung Omnia 2 (i8000) lovers in US would be delighted to know that the FCC has approved the i8000, reports Ubergizmo. Reportedly, the handset packages premium features.

The handset features a 3.7″ WVGA AMOLED touchscreen display that offers a resolution of 480 × 800. It operates on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional and features TouchWiz 2.0 UI with 3D effects. The mobile phone sports a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and dual LED flash capabilities. The handset comes with 8GB or 16GB internal memory and offers support for microSDHC memory card slot. Users can enjoy music with RDS powered FM radio.

The i8000 provides Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with A2DP connectivity. The dimensions of the handset are 118mm x 59.6mm x 11.9mm and incorporates 1500 mAh battery. The Omnia 2 is built with an 800 MHz processor and features Advanced R touch (Resistive). The handset offers GPS navigation capabilities and includes built-in accelerometer and DivX/XviD video support. It supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz.
