Palm Pre to be available exclusively at Bell for six months?

Palm Pre Image There are rumors that Canadians will receive the Palm Pre exclusively from Bell for a period of six months. According to MobileSyrup, these rumors were sparked by an unofficial company document which stated that, “Palm Inc. has chosen Bell as the exclusive carrier to introduce the 3G Palm Pre to the Canadian market – the most important launch in Bell’s history.”

If these rumors prove to be true, Bell is going to be the second carrier to offer the Palm Pre after Sprint. Sprint was the first to add the Pre in June when the phone was launched. It is rumored that Telus – a Bell subsidiary – will be the second Canadian provider to get the device.

This rumored six month agreement with Bell may indicate the duration that Sprint will carry the handset exclusively for the US. Just recently, there were rumors that Pre will be carried by Verizon in January which is just over six months after the June Sprint release.

There is no specific information about the pricing or release date of the Bell Palm Pre. However, more is expected sometime in August.
