Samsung Galaxy Express to be launched globally with Android 4.1, 4G LTE

The Samsung Galaxy Express has been officially introduced by the company and the 4G LTE handset has gone global. For those who didn’t know, the device had been launched for US users in the month of November last year through AT&T.

This means the Galaxy Express is ready for international acclamation over 2 months after it was made available in the US. It weighs 4.5 ounces and measures 5.22” x 2.74” x 0.37” in dimensions. There is a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED screen overshadowing the front, above which lies a 1.3MP webcam.

To facilitate clicking pictures and recording videos, a 5MP camera escorts itself onto the back panel and bundles features like auto focus and an LED flash. The Galaxy S3 look-alike runs on the Android Jelly Bean OS and not ICS like the carrier-specific model. At its hub rests a dual core CPU which ticks at 1.2GHz.

The company will not only offer 8GB of internal memory, but also go on to provide a microSD card port that allows expansion of up to 32GB. Apart from the inbuilt storage capacity, there is 1GB of RAM toiling along with the processor to furnish speed for multitasking.

Tilt And Side View

Users may be pleased to know that the OEM has tried to include connectivity features over and above just Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. For instance, there exists NFC for wireless sharing of content, while people can hope to find mobile hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct and Mobile HD Link included as well.

The phone will pack a 2,000mAh battery and since the activity time derivable hasn’t been disclosed, we are assuming it is the same as that of the device which came out via AT&T. This means users will be able to take pleasure in about 14 hours of talk time or 13 days of standby.

Back And Left

The Samsung Galaxy Express has yet to be presented with a price, although it could cost roughly $499 as shown on the AT&T website. And taking a look at the pictures, it seems like there are high chances the handset may be launching in the company’s favorite white color.
