Reliance 3G Sony Ericsson W8 Walkman smartphone lands in India

Sony Ericsson W8 Sony Ericsson has collaborated with Reliance Communications to unleash the Sony Ericsson W8 Walkman smartphone in India. It is said to be the first Android handset in the Sony Ericsson line-up and Reliance adds in the 100% money back offer.

The Sony Ericsson W8 Walkman smartphone is said to provide consumers the fun of Walkman teamed up with the utility of Android. It comes with a distinctive four corner user interface for personalization. To highlight its uniqueness in India, the device is provided with applications like FM moment and share moment, in-built speakers, and FM string.

Elaborating about the device, P. Balaji, Managing Director Sony Ericsson India said “Consumers are looking for an integrated entertainment experience from any gadget they purchase. Sony Ericsson’s W8 Walkman phone has been made for those who want to enjoy and share their favorite music, play games or just simply explore apps. Research has shown that listening to music and radio on phone is one of the top entertainment options. Our partnership with Reliance Communications will help us provide content that is entertainment rich and give out the best music experience to customers, with over 200k applications to explore on the Android market.”

Apart from anticipated qualities like 3.2MP camera, music player, radio FM, music battery life of up to 23 hours 40 minutes, social networking applications, it is also packed with features like 3D games, geo tagging, album art, etc. It possesses integral phone memory of up to 128MB, which can be extended up to 16GB. Around 50 songs and 12+ videos are offered pre-loaded. The handset can be flaunted in colors like azure, orange and red along with snap-on covers.

Sony Ericsson has partnered with Reliance to present the Sony Ericsson W8 Walkman in India with a 100% money back offer. The device is said to be available in India for an approx price of Rs. 9,995.
