Sprint Samsung Conquer 4G Smartphone

The Samsung Conquer 4G smartphone, a 3G/4G dual mode handset, is all set for release via Sprint, later this month. This marks the 25th 4G capable device by Sprint, and is also said to be its first sub-$100 in the 4G smartphone category.

The device runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is supported by a 1GHz processor. It is decked with fundamental features like a 3.2-megapixel camera with flash and zoom, a 1.3MP front camera for better video calling, and a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen display. Other than this, it also comes with stereo Bluetooth wireless technology and expandable memory up to 32GB, apart from a 2GB microSD card being included in the package.

“Samsung Conquer 4G delivers the latest Android experience with best-in-class features, including a fast 1GHz processor, dual cameras for video chat and 4G network speeds, at an exceptional value,” said Dale Sohn, President of Samsung Mobile. “Conquer 4G continues Samsung’s commitment to delivering a quality smartphone experience at a variety of price points.”

It also allows the use of Sprint ID which permits access to various apps, ringtones, widgets, etc. Moreover, activation of Everything Data plan can enable free download of Sprint ID packs and users can download them up to five at a time. The smartphone is 3G or 4G mobile hotspot capable which can support up to five Wi-Fi enabled Sprint devices.

The Samsung Conquer 4G smartphone will be out for sale on August 21. Priced at an affordable $99.99, it can be purchased with a new two-year service agreement or eligible upgrade and after a $50 mail-in refund through reward card3. It can be obtained at Sprint retail outlets and web sales, and through Telesales.
