With no dearth of Bluetooth headset options to choose from, Plantronics launches the Marque M155 that incorporates some interesting specs to aid smartphone users. At a mere 7 grams, it proffers voice-guided pairing for iPhone as well as Android users.
The headset’s A2DP standard stereo Bluetooth allows users to listen to music, e-mails or GPS directions. Its voice recognition capabilities mean users have to simply give commands to answer or ignore calls. With its sleek design, Plantronics claims it to be the smallest model in their headset line-up.
“Smartphone users want to harness the power of their phones to complement and simplify their busy lives,” comments Elizabeth Hamren, Plantronics’ vice president of marketing. “The Marque lets them take advantage of the full range of their phone’s capabilities, even while talking or listening to music or a podcast, all in a great looking, super lightweight device.”
The headset’s Vocalyst Voice and Text services enable users to text, send e-mails, update their Facebook/Twitter pages and also check the weather without having to turn to their smartphones. While the Vocalyst Voice service allows listening to emails, texts, feeds and to even catch up on the daily news. Apps on the Android market and Apple App store, for the Marque, conduct a sound check and familiarize users with added functionality, also stream music and more.
The Marque M155 Bluetooth headset drenched in Jet Black or Arctic White can be procured at a price of $59.99. It is available for pre-order today at Amazon.com, Plantronics.com and at select retailers and wireless carriers. A one year subscription to the cloud-based Vocalyst service is included with purchase of the Marque.
