Personalized Suggestions and Starring in Google Maps for Mobile

Google Starring Mobile

Last week, Google made a lot of things easier by releasing personalized suggestions for Google Maps. According to the official Google Mobile Blog, Google has now launched ‘Personalized Suggestions’ and synchronized ‘Starring’ in Google Maps for mobile on Android.

Searchers can now easily find places they’ve previously searched for, thanks to Personalized Suggestions. The new feature for mobile is based on past searches from one’s web history. Users just need to start typing into the search box as they normally would, and relevant suggestions may appear below, allowing them to quickly complete their search.

In addition to the personalized suggestions, Google has introduced ‘starring’ in Google Maps for mobile on Android. This particular feature brings forth the ability to star places and access them later.

Both starring and personalized suggestions in Google Maps require users to be signed in with their Google account, and their web history must be enabled in order to use personalized suggestions. Both features are available in Google Maps 3.4. on Nexus One phones.

On the other hand, for other Android phones, these features will soon be available by downloading Google Maps 3.4. from Android Market.
