Parkmobile North America proclaims Pay by Phone Parking

Parkmobile Logo With the hike in the number of cars hitting roads each day, parking has become increasingly difficult. Much to the relief of Grand Rapids residents, Parkmobile North America has introduced Pay by Phone parking service.

This innovative technology permits users to pay for parking via their handsets. To avail the ‘Pay by phone’ service, users need to register by calling on a toll-free number or visiting Parkmobile’s official site. Once the account is created, users can access the system with their registered mobile phone.

Pam Ritsema, Director of Parking for the City of Grand Rapids remarked, “Grand Rapids continues to pursue innovative alternatives that optimize technology to enhance parking options. Parkmobile clearly fits that goal with this product. It will make parking at meters even more convenient.”

“Parkmobile is very excited to launch our Pay by Phone parking service with the City of Grand Rapids. With this technology, customers no longer have to search for change or estimate the time needed at their destination. The Pay by Phone service is an example of another technology that can make our lives easier and more efficient,” stated Albert Bogaard, CEO of Parkmobile North America, Inc.

Motorists can also opt to receive text message alerts and reminders fifteen minutes prior to the expiration time. The service is inclusive of all parking modes such as digital permits, cashless on and off- street parking, electronic enforcement and also offers seamless integration with congestion charging.

Just with a short call to initiate a parking session and another to end it, parking is now made easier.
