Palm Treo Pro smartphone Alltel Wireless announces the availability of the Palm Treo Pro smartphone. The sleek phone offers various functions and features for business users that allow them to carry their business anytime and anywhere.

The Palm Treo Pro smartphone runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system and is the first Palm phone to integrate Internet Mobile Explorer 6. The phone features a high resolution display screen as well as a full QWERTY keyboard. The web enabled phone allows users to browse and send emails at a reliable speed.

“Treo Pro strengthens our aggressive business product portfolio by letting customers easily stay connected and experience Alltel’s broadband network,” states Angela Rittgers, director of product management for Alltel Wireless. “Businesses will benefit from Treo Pro’s advanced functionality and well-designed user interface.”

The one-touch Wi-Fi button allows users to connect the phone at home, office or at any Wi-Fi hotspots. The Palm Treo Pro phone supports GPS that provides turn-by-turn directions, maps and point of interest searches for locations.

Users can either browse the internet in a mobile-optimized mode or in a desktop mode. Other features included in the phone are Microsoft Direct Push Technology, Microsoft System Center Mobile Manager 2008, New Voicemail indicator, Ringer Switch and lots more.

The Palm Treo Pro smartphone will be available via Alltel Wireless for $199.99.
