Oregon to unleash smartphone compatible devices

Oregon Charging Station

With so many smartphones and tablets flooding the market, a whole new horde of complementary accessories has emerged and the latest additions are the Oregon Scientific smartphone compatible offerings set to launch at the CES 2012. These include the Time and Wireless Charging Station+ and the Remote Weather Access Platform.

As its name suggest, the Time and Wireless Charging Station+ powers Qi-enabled mobile devices. It is also capable of fueling handsets as well as tablets with Qi-enabled charging accessories like a sleeve. This gadget comes integrated with a projection clock and weather forecast attributes which claim to offer accurate indoor and outdoor temperature statistics according to the barometric pressure.

The Remote Weather Access Platform provides users with information about real-time weather conditions at preset locations around the house and monitors the micro-climate in different spaces such as basements, attics, gardens or garages. It employs traditional wireless frequencies and features a ‘hub’ that converts weather data into information which can be uploaded to an iOS or Android smartphone app.
