Gigabyte to showcase range of tablets at CES 2012

The CES 2012 has played host to a number of varied devices including the freshly unveiled lineup of Gigabyte tablets. These comprise the S1081 slate, the T1006M convertible tablet notebook and the Booktop T1132N 3-in-1 notebook, tablet and desktop.

Equipped with a 10.1-inch capacitive multi-touch display, the S1081 tablet is the first of its kind to run on the Intel Atom Cedar Trail platform which is said to deliver some nifty multitasking and enhanced speeds. It comes in two types namely, a 500GB HDD version and an SSD variant. Featuring a 1.3MP webcam, the slate is capable of lending support to USB 3.0 and Bluetooth 4.0. Users can also purchase the accompanying docking station which includes a DVD drive and an audio system consisting of two stereo and two woofer speakers.

Just like the S1081, the T1006M convertible tablet notebook also boasts of a 10.1-inch 1366 x 768p capacitive multi-touch display. This 3.5G ready mobile device is powered by a 6-cell battery and operates on the new generation Intel Atom Cedar Trail platform.

The Booktop T1132N is a combination of three kinds of devices, serving the purpose of a tablet and a notebook as well as a desktop. Powered by a 2nd generation Intel Core i5 processor, it comes incorporated with Optimus technology which apparently helps in extending the battery life. Sporting USB 3.0 and HDMI ports, it boasts of 1GB RAM and possesses a built-in 3.5G antenna. Moreover, this device is integrated with two high quality, dual-channel stereo speakers and two woofer speakers that employ THX TruStudio Pro technology.

Details regarding the price and availability of the S1081 slate, T1006M convertible tablet notebook and the Booktop T1132N 3-in-1 notebook, tablet and desktop from Gigabyte are not yet known.
