Optima Smart OPS 80, 80Q phablets arrive in India

All the companies in India who have been dominating the mid-range affordable segment in the market have some more competition to tackle as the Optima Smart OPS 80 and OPS 80Q phablets are all set to come to the country. They seem like decent contenders and have some sough-after specifications hidden under the hood.

Let’s first take a look at the 80Q. This phablet offers a multi-touch real estate of 5 inches and the IPS display claims to render qHD visuals. You can expect the device to tag along a set of Google mobile services including access to the Play store as it binges on Jelly Bean 4.2. A 1.2GHz quad core processor rests within the chassis with a 1800mAh battery and users will find 4GB of internal memory that can be expanded further by up to 32GB with a microSD card. And 8MP primary camera and a 2MP webcam have been provided to click pictures, record videos and make conference calls.

As for the OPS 80, the device is slightly bigger than the aforementioned handset as it has been graced by a 5.3-inch multi-touch panel. However, it delivers images in WVGA resolution. Powered by a 1GHz Cortex A9 chipset, the smartphone comes with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage that can be increased by up to 32GB. It serves a generous scoop of Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 and employs dual cameras – an 8MP primary snapper and a 1.3MP secondary one. A 2500mAh battery is responsible for keeping it charged for a long time.

Pricing and availability information of the Optima Smart OPS 80Q is yet to be revealed by the company, but the 80Q is available through the official website for Rs 8,449.
