Inclusion of the Opera Mini web browser within devices of those residing in Bangladesh was possible due to its global agreement with Opera Software.

Its servers compress webpages up to 90 percent of their original size prior to sending them over the phone. Since the data transferred is smaller, pages arrive at a much faster speed, simultaneously reducing cost.
Handsets with the Opera Mini browser will have access to free Internet and data services for one week after the download. The latest Opera Mini version customized for mobile phones can be downloaded by users in the country by simply sending an SMS ‘Opera’ to 5000.
