Tata DoCoMo was last in the news for unveiling the unique VAS application entitled English Seekho. This offering could be accessed via an Interactive Voice Portal. Through this endeavor, users could learn conversational English by using just their Tata DoCoMo handsets. Now the company sheds light on a new innovative application called Songshare on Facebook. This has been launched under its Call Me Tunes (CMT) service.
The newly-released application endows CMT subscribers with interactive Facebooking features. Some of these actions include enabling friends and family to copy songs by simply opting for postings on the wall and publishing Call me tune status or updates on their Facebook wall. They can also recommend a particular track plucked right out of the available songs list to fans or friends. Furthermore, entertainment enthusiasts are able to search song content and download these options for either a specific caller or all callers.
S Ramakrishna, Regional Head – South East, Tata DoCoMo commented, “With increasing internet usage and necessity to socially network, Facebook has really taken off globally with more than half a billion users. SongShare application is an effort to reach out to a wide, potential customer base on Facebook, encouraging penetration and usage of CMT service. The customers can enjoy the features and the benefits of Songshare application without even activating CMT via Facebook. The application enhances the CMT service and makes it more interactive and enjoyable.”
By using the Songshare application, handset owners can subscribe to Call Me Tune service directly via their Tata DoCoMo numbers. In order to subscribe, customers must simply log on to the DoCoMo Songshare application on Facebook. It then sends a random number to the registered cellphone number provided by users through the form of an SMS. The registration is complete when that particular number is entered via SMS.
The Songshare application can be acquired by all Tata DoCoMo pre-paid as well as post-paid subscribers.
