We had previously reported about the X2 when Nokia Conversations stated that it was on the verge of being released in India. Back in the month of April it was anticipated to come by June end. However June came and went by, but we saw no sign of the phone. Finally after making many Nokia fans wait in high anticipation, the X2 finally sails to Indian shores and is now available in stores.
The X2 is said to be a music oriented handset and thus comes with dedicated music keys, music player supporting audio formats like AAC, eAAC+, MP3, MP4 and WMA. Fitted with a 3.5mm AV connector, the device enables users to manage their music with Ovi Player PC client and Windows Media Player 11. Music lovers can download songs from the Nokia Music Store along with games and apps from the Ovi Store.

Sporting a 5 megapixel camera, dilettante photographers can go on spree of capturing beautiful moments. Photographs will appear in thumbnails in grid, albums or timeline view. The camera features 4x smooth zoom, background processing and flash, which can also be used as a torch. The images can be uploaded via Bluetooth or through sharing services like Flickr and Ovi Share. The handset features Bluetooth v2.1 with stereo audio profiles.
The Nokia X2 bears an affordable price tag of Rs. 6,579.
