Nokia Mail For Exchange 01

The Nokia Mail for Exchange beta version has been released for the Series 40 Asha 302 and 303 phones. With this app, users can access their mails, contacts or emails and sync them with Microsoft Exchange servers. This should be ideal for professionals who can check their calendar and events, with the changes being automatically updated on the server.

The app basically accesses the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync procedure for synchronization between compatible Asha phones and servers. With this software, emails can be viewed with extended text formatting along with the ability to flag, copy and move messages. Multiple folders can be linked together and messages can be searched locally. To save time while composing an email, the contact data auto-completes itself. The beta version has been released to provide users with early access to the application that’s currently being developed.

The names of attachment files can be seen as well as forwarded to the concerned recipient. The contacts and calendar can be synchronized and there’s the choice of accepting, denying or generating appointment requests. Enabling dual-way contacts synchronization, users can access the global address book too. A range of security features have been incorporated such as data encryption and ActiveSync passwords. In terms of connectivity, the complete link between the Exchange server and Nokia phones is established over an HTTPS connection.

The Nokia Mail for Exchange beta app for Asha phones should be up for download via the Nokia Store sometime in June.
