Rumors indicating that the Nokia Lumia 520 and 720 will be making their debut at the MWC this year have been circling the internet. As per earlier leaks, these phones went by the names of Flame and Zeal, respectively.
A report on WMPoweruser citing Twitter user Alan Mendelevich, reveals the aforesaid piece of information. It is further mentioned that along with the Lumia 520 and 720, two other handsets will also be emerging from their shells. For now, these phones are known as simply the RM-887 and the RM-860. All these devices would run on the Windows Phone 8 platform.
Speculations about the Zeal that’s presumed to be another budget phone in the series, were made earlier this month. These rumors put forth specifications like a 4.3-inch display, a 1GHz dual core processor and 512MB of RAM. The device would be allowing up to 8GB of storage which can be expanded through a microSD card. A main camera of 6MP will rest on the rear and an auxiliary lens of 2MP would be embedded onto the front panel. Connectivity for this smartphone will be provided through HSPA+ amongst others.
The Flame on the other hand, is supposed to bear a 4-inch touchscreen with a similar processor and RAM compared to those of the aforementioned device. This smartphone would allegedly be unveiled as a mid-range Lumia of the line-up. 8GB of storage will be granted along with the provision of the microSD slot. In order to click pictures and record footage, a 5MP snapper will be the only means of doing so.
As for the two mystery phones, conjectures have been made linking them to be the Laser and Catwalk. The former is believed to be a version of the 920 that will be launched via Verizon. There was also a rumor which suggested that the manufacturer would be unveiling the Lumia 1000 smartphone at the expo. This device is likely to carry a high quality camera sensor like the one which was seen on the 808 PureView.
Mobile enthusiasts will just have to wait until the unveiling of the Nokia Lumia 520 and 720 as well as the other two variants of the series at Barcelona, as nothing has been officially declared about these devices for now.
