There’s yet another exciting way to avoid catching the eye of anyone while walking down an unfamiliar street, says the new Nokia Live View Augmented Reality (AR) browser that’s cooking in Labs. AR technology is clearly going places, quite literally and figuratively.

Allowing users to employ the regular point and browse method to find places of interest right through the camera viewfinder, the application asks people to pick from various categories. These cover sections like Food, Hotels, Sights, Shopping, Automotive, Entertainment, Transport and so on.

Live View throws up the essential details and reviews of restaurants or hotels to make the process of filtering through options easier, or appear less complicated at least. There’s also the convenience of making reservations with a tap or navigating to the concerned location with the help of turn-by-turn walking directions.

Those who want to give the Live View AR browser a run can download it from where else, but Nokia Labs at present.
