Google Shopper 2.0 released for Android phones to enable easier shopping

Google Shopper 2.0 The official Google Mobile blog has revealed an updated version of its shopping application called Google Shopper 2.0 for Android phone users to find better deals and bargains. This update reports about the best deals in the vicinity and helps users search for products.

According to the blog, the app performs in a faster manner than its predecessor and provides users with more features. Its menu has been tweaked and the look changed. While the ‘Starred’ and ‘History’ buttons are now at the top of the page, new tabs have been embedded at the bottom for speedier navigation to Google Shopper’s latest features.

Three new tabs, namely Nearby Offers, Today’s Offer and My Offers have been introduced. All of these tabs would keep users always organized and in sync with the shopping deals nearby.

On clicking on the Nearby Offers button, users can view offers listed in Google Places in the ‘Eat’ and ‘Play’ categories. The Today’s Offers tab is a part of Google Offers beta program and presents a single offer for discounted goods or services in the vicinity. My Offers tab lets users search for and save offers to be redeemed as well as keep a track on offers which may expire soon. Later they can access and redeem the saved offers through Google Wallet.

The Google Shopper 2.0 app is available for free download from the Android Market . Existing app users will receive an update of the same on their Android phones.
