The Nokia Asha 205 price and release date in India have been made crystal clear and the handset will descend in the country sporting a dedicated Facebook button. It wasn’t that long ago since we reported its official launch.
A 2.4-inch LCD display dwells on the handset’s front panel that presents images at a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. Resting beneath this is a QWERTY keypad that facilitates smooth texting and dialing.
Coming to its key highlight, the device will include a button specially dedicated to Facebook. Ardent social network users can now take the easier road to gain access to their profiles. The ‘Hot key’, as the company calls it, also permits uploading photos and updating status.
The dual SIM device comes with a single VGA camera fitted onto its flip side. The manufacturer may not have gone overboard in this aspect, but the snapper packs decent features like 4x digital zoom, self-timer and color tone modes such as sepia, greyscale and negative.
Users will be able to switch between SIM cards without the need to turn off their phones with the help of the Easy Swap feature. Also, Slam that has recently seen the light of day through other phones by the company, has also been included. This attribute pairs with Bluetooth to facilitate faster transfer of content without using up Internet data.
An internal memory of 64MB has been provided for storage purposes. For those who may find this inadequate, there is also scope for expansion of up to 32GB via a microSD card. The handset is powered by a 1,020mAh battery that is capable of providing up to 11 hours of talk time or up to 608 hours of standby to 2G users.
The price of the Nokia Asha 205 has been pegged at Rs. 3,499 and it will be made available in India starting December 24, 2012. Buyers will find it drenched in colors like cyan and orange.
