Golfers can easily keep a track of their scores with the updated myGolfstats 2.0 app using their iPhone. The application made its way up the sales chart in the App Store right from its 1.0 launch. It offers a USGA handicap and claims efficiency similar to tools used by professional golfers. These features of the app are the key factors that helped maintain its position in the top 10 percent of all golf apps.

It reached the record breaking sales figure in April and May this year and has been climbing consistently. The app is user friendly and can record scores for all playing members of the group at a nominal fee. It even gives tips on the game and provides information on the distance of the ball hit with each club. The exclusive feature of the myGolfstats is the availability on an official USGA handicap, which enables users to own official handicap and view their scores on the USGA website.

“We now get about twenty to forty downloads per day, depending on the day,” mentioned Bill Helman, co-owner of Sports Data Systems. “The weekends are better of course. During the Masters Golf week, we had over two hundred downloads on that weekend, and expects another spike in business with the US Open in two weeks’ time”.

Amateur players can improve their game by referring to stats and taking tips on areas they need to concentrate for gaining perfection. With other features like color coding, graph stats, score sharing and automatic score updating, it remains the favorite golf app amongst golfers.

The application is compatible with the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad and requires iOS 3.0 or later version. It takes 2.7 MB memory space. The myGolfstats 2.0 app is available for $2.99 at App Store.
