There’s no denying the enhanced GPS experience mobile users have been enjoying courtesy improved navigation applications. The recently upgraded Magellan RoadMate North America App for the iPhone has now been integrated with Yelp’s API, Google Local Search and a new user interface.
Google Local Search navigates user to a desired destination by suggesting shorter routes and guiding through traffic details from time to time. Magellan’s Lifetime map updates and Lifetime traffic services will keep users up-to-date with the change in routes and traffic. The Application provides Maps for United States, Puerto Rico and Canada.

The new user interface comes with an on-screen ‘dashboard’ information, which can be disabled for a wider map area. Owners can personalize the details by entering arrival time, distance and the speed on the device. The iPhone is turned into a GPS navigator with the turn-by-turn voice guidance and spoken street names, which continues in the background even when users are busy on calls or are using other app.
The new Magellan RoadMate North America App is available for $59.99 on the iPhone and iPod touch from the App Store.
