Motorola India launches door-to-door Moto Xpress after-sales service for Rs 199

Motorola India has announced a Moto Xpress door-to-door service for its customers in a bid to enhance its after-sale support capabilities. The pilot project will start out in northern cities like Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida first and will eventually expand to other metropolitan areas later.

The procedure to use the pick-up and drop service is pretty straightforward. The user will have to call service staff through the Moto Xpress Service Booking Number (011-41717124) after which the Motorola representative nearest to their location will arrive at their home.

Each booking costs Rs 199 and covers any issues the concerned Motorola phone is facing. Software and accessory related problems can be solved on the spot, within an hour. Hardware troubles could take more time to fix, with the company guaranteeing its return in 5 days.

According to data provided by Motorola, their customer satisfaction score is currently at 85%. It has over 160 service centers across India, and earlier in the year announced plans to open Exclusive Experience Centers. Bangalore is the first city they were opened in, with more metros to follow.

These will serve as a place for potential buyers to handle Motorola phones in person and will act as walk-in service support centers for any problems faced by owners. A Moto Care on Wheels project is also underway in the country, where a van can be at your doorstep within 30 days of purchasing a handset.

All this is in addition to a Moto Help app which can be used to directly call or chat with customer care executives, as well as to view FAQs, tutorials and tips. Motorola has been on an upswing during the past few years in India and the new Moto Xpress service should serve to strengthen its overall brand reputation.
