Now owners of the Motorola Droid X and Droid 2 devices can seemingly sink their teeth into an update for Android 2.3 or Gingerbread.

The upgrade is touted to be a simple process which can be executed without much fuss. They then have to simply form a backup and install the Firmware through recovery.

The procedure then involves opting for install zip directly from the SD card and selecting zip. Once all these steps are rightly carried out, users are then instructed to restart their handset.
