Lego has captured the fantasy of not just little kids with a wide imagination but also older ones and adults as well. Now the company has unveiled a MINDdroid application for Android 2.1 or higher handsets. Through this latest offering, owners can access and gain control of their Lego Mindstorms Nxt robot.
Via the new application, the Lego robot can be commanded with just a flick of the wrist. The remote-control app establishes a direct connection with the machine without the need of employing any wires. The robot can then be move forward or turn to the sides by simply just titling or turning the Android mobile.
On opting for an action button from the handset’s screen, the Action motor of the system in the robot gets activated. This offering can also be employed with a Shooterbot or any other robot that utilizes a pair of motion motors.
In order to download the MINDdroid application, Android phone owners can simply scan the special QR code from the official Lego website or purchase it via the App Market directly through the mobile. The software has been fashioned by specialists Gunther and Shawn along with the team of Lego Mindstorms.
