Micromax Unite 4, Unite 4 Pro with Indus OS 2.0 unveiled in India

The Micromax Unite 4 and Unite 4 Pro have been launched in India and are all set to be sold at Rs 6999 and Rs 7999, respectively. The first will be available via offline outlets across the country, while the second is a Snapdeal-exclusive.

The main talking point when it comes to the new Micromax Unite 4 and Unite 4 Pro are the handsets native support for 12 local Indian languages. The brand is hoping the two will attract first-time smartphone users. The devices are the first to run on the brand’s Indus OS 2.0 which features useful tools like Indus Swipe and an Indus-to-Indus free SMS service.

Indus OS 2.0 further offers text-to-speech technology in over 6 regional languages. The Micromax offering also has its own App Bazaar marketplace to let users download apps in their native tongue. To make things easier, it also allows them to pay for tools without email IDs or credit cards. Both are needed for other app stores and help set the phones apart from its competitors in India.
