The nagging doubt about the Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 and the A240 being one and the same phone has been cleared. The smartphone has been listed with online shopping portals, while Micromax has revealed that both these monikers apply to the company’s forthcoming flagship.
So we guess it’s finally alright to say that the Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 will indeed be home to a 5.7-inch capacitive FHD screen infused with IPS technology. The company confirms the presence of a 1.2GHz quad core processor, under the hood, but there are no indications of it being the previously rumored MediaTek MT6589 chip. Similar to the Canvas 4 A210, the smartphone in question allows unlocking by blowing on the screen.
The onboard 12MP rear-facing camera and the 5MP webcam will come as no surprise to those who have been following the handset’s progress ever since it popped up in rumor land. And yes, there is a 2,600mAh battery hidden beneath the rear panel, thanks to which users could look forward to approximately 8 hours of talk time, as pointed out by the e-commerce website.
Even though Flipkart hasn’t pinned the Canvas Doodle 2 A240 with a price, Snapdeal is selling it at Rs 19,990. The gadget can be purchased on EMI basis through the latter, starting at Rs 3,331 for 3 months. eBay too has listed the handset at Rs 20,490.
