The Micromax Canvas Fun A76 is the second Android 4.2 Jelly Bean smartphone hailing from the company’s foundries, which has sought a place with an e-retailer today. The first is the Micromax Canvas Doodle 2, a 5.7-inch device that will soon replace the manufacturer’s current flagship.
Presently on sale through Snapdeal, the Micromax Canvas Fun A76 has taken up a retail tag of Rs 8,499 and has also been made available on installment basis. Specification-wise, it has been seen sporting a 5-inch capacitive touch display encompassing a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. Together with a 5MP camera to facilitate picture capturing and video recording, the phone bears a VGA webcam for face-to-face conversations.
A 1.2GHz dual core processor, 512MB of RAM and a 2,000mAh Li-polymer battery join forces to power up the device. Thanks to the power pack’s presence, the smartphone should be able to grant up to 7 hours of talk time or 250 hours of standby. With respect to memory, an onboard microSD card slot ensures additional expansion of up to 32GB, lest the inbuilt storage space of 4GB falls short. Considering the market it has been launched into, it’s only fair that the handset pack dual SIM slots.
The Canvas Fun A76 has also been spotted on Flipkart, but there is no sign of a price for the same.
