The Micromax A27 Ninja price has been revealed and prospective customers can grab this smartphone for a mere Rs. 3,399 .The Android device enters the market in India to cater to buyers who have a vested interest in wallet-friendly smartphones.
The device brings forth a new feature in the form of ‘Swipe ‘n’ Share’ which as the names suggests, allows users to share apps, pictures, video and other data by simply swiping the desired item. This can be even achieved over Wi-Fi in case customers don’t have an active data connection. More services that have worked their way into the phone include M!live and the Play store amongst other tools.
The Gingerbread device is powered by a 1GHz Spreadtrum processor which is backed by 256MB of RAM. Although the phone consists of 512MB memory, only 160MB would be made available to users. This is however compensated by the provision of the microSD slot that permits expansion of storage up to 16GB. A decent battery capacity of 1400mAh would support a talk-time of around 4.5 hours or a standby time of up to 260 hours, according to the company’s claims.
The smartphone possesses a capacitive touchscreen of 3.5 inches that delivers a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. The handset disappoints in terms of camera quality as the maker highly compromises on it, embedding just a 0.3MP lens on the rear. However, the snapper comes with 8x digital zoom, burst mode and white balance mode. The A57 that was launched last year falls in the same category as the device in question, but it provides a 3MP shooter.
The manufacturer has incorporated a slot for an additional SIM and connectivity is supplied through Wireless LAN, 2G and Bluetooth. No mention of any built-in sensors has been made in the specs sheet. A 3.5mm audio jack in the body facilitates hands-free usage, allowing customers to utilize FM radio and a pre-installed music player.
The Micromax A27 Ninja can be purchased from various online stores including Saholic and Flipkart. While the former offers the device for the sum mentioned earlier, the latter puts it forth for Rs. 3,499.
