Michael Jackson fans flock to Sprint Music Store

Sprint Music Store Scores of Michael Jackson fans headed to music stores and online sites after his death last week searching for his songs. On Friday, the Sprint Store experienced its biggest single day ever, with Michael Jackson songs comprising 25 percent of the tracks sold. There has been an increase of 21 percent on average in Sprint Music Store sales since the news of Jackson’s death. Sprint’s 3G network which is also known as America’s most dependable network remained steady during the sales increase.

Michael Jackson songs have experienced a dramatic increase in sales ranking – from the 80th rank to No. 1 – in Sprint Music Stores. “Thriller” and “Billie Jean”, both from the 1982 blockbuster album “Thriller” are the most popular downloaded tracks. Even Jackson ringtones are experiencing a similar rise in sales, with 28 percent of total sales on Friday belonging to Jackson. “Thriller”, “P.Y.T.” and “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough.” are the top three ringtones.

The Sprint Radio offers a Michael Jackson bonus stream through the end of July. Any customer with a basic data plan and access to Sprint TV can take advantage of the “Who’s Bad” radio stream.
