Mauj Mobile, People Group’s wireless arm has signed an exclusive two year deal with Radio City 91.1 FM to bring content from the leading radio station on to mobile phones. As part of the collaboration, Mauj Mobile gains exclusive rights to power all mobile activities initiated by the FM station.
While speaking about the association, Mr. Manoj Dawane, CEO, People Infocom (Mauj Mobile), commented, “Our deal with Radio City brings together two extremely effective and promising communication mediums – the mobile phone and the radio. Strengthening their Media Solutions operations, Mauj Mobile will energize mobile activities like creating a specially designed wapsite and offering shortcode services for various contests and programs. The company will also manage the comprehensive wapsite developed keeping in mind the station’s huge audience base across 20 markets
Listeners can go one step ahead by simply sending keywords and messages to the Mauj Mobile short code–57007. This will allow them to participate in upcoming contests and programmes. Listeners of the very popular FM station can gain access to the much localized shows of the channel via their mobile phones. In lieu with the agreement, Mauj mobile will additionally possess exclusive telecom rights to Radio City’s content.
