MapmyIndia Connect lets you stream content from phone to a big screen

MapmyIndia has released the Connect, a device that comes in handy for users who wish to enjoy content from their mobile phones or tablets on big screen monitors and HD TVs. Apart from streaming data, it is also useful for mirroring videos, pictures and other things being displayed on the mobile gadgets.

It connects wirelessly with the handheld gadget and is also compatible with your car’s In-Dash screen. Apart from viewing pictures, videos or movies, you can have your phone’s UI displayed on the big screen, browse the web and even play mobile games on your television. What makes the gadget versatile is the presence of protocols like DLNA, Miracast and AirPlay which carry out the task at hand over a Wi-Fi network.

And the company also has a solution for Android phones which are not compatible with any of the aforementioned services. A dedicated Android application has been launched for such devices. So to activate, you need to tether the device to the screen and use it on the same Wi-Fi network as your mobile phone.

It is compatible with iDevices based on iOS version 5.0 or later and select Android phones and tablets. Some of the gadgets that are compatible with the MapMyIndia Connect are Samsung Galaxy S3, S4, Note 2, Note 3, Google Nexus 4, Nexus 5, HTC One, One+, One Max, LG G2, BlackBerry Q10 and Z30, Sony Xperia Z, ZL, T and V amongst many others. The box-like device weighs approximately 153 grams and has dimensions of 104.5 x 64 x 21.2 millimeters.
