Letv is set to be the next China brand making its way to India, the company confirming it is going to introduce its products in the country by early 2016. It further plans to set up a local manufacturing plant in addition to R&D centers as a part of its long term vision.
In a statement, Letv said it is currently seeking partnerships with Indian content providers and creators in order to provide TV and films within its Eco User content-device ecosystem. The company has not announced what devices it plans to bring to the nation. So far, it has launched four smartphones namely the Le 1, Le 1 Pro, Le Max and Le 1s.
The recently launched Le 1s is priced at CNY 1099 (roughly Rs 11250). The affordable handset comes with a fingerprint scanner on it rear surface and a USB Type-C cable equipped with SpeedVolt technology to ensure 3.5 hours of usage from only 5 minutes of charging. Under the hood, it’s powered by an octa-core 2.2GHz MediaTek Helio X10 processor and a 3000mAh battery.
In terms of memory, the dual-SIM Letv device houses 32GB of ROM and 3GB of RAM. It sports a 5.5-inch 1080p screen and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with a layer of EUI 5.5 on top. The 4G-ready handset carries a 13MP main camera accompanied by PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus) and LED flash. Selfies can be taken through a 5MP front-facing lens.

Alongside the Le 1s, Letv also unveiled what it called the world’s biggest 3D 4K television, the 120-inch uMax. The gadget costs CNY 499900 (about Rs 5100000) and contains 3GB of RAM, 32GB of ROM and a quad-core 1.4GHz SoC.
