A couple of new 4G smartphones dubbed the Lenovo Vibe P1 and Vibe P1m have been launched in India and both are set to go on sale exclusively via Flipkart. They were first unveiled at the IFA earlier this year, and are targeted at the entry-level to mid-range market.
The Lenovo Vibe P1 is priced at Rs 15999 and will be available from October 27. The Vibe P1m retails for Rs 7999 and can be bought through a flash sale taking place on October 28. The main highlight of the phones are its massive batteries, the former packing a 5000mAh one and the latter a 4000mAh one.
Each has been equipped with fast charging technology and a dedicated power saver button. Lenovo promises the latter feature can double the battery life of the handsets. Diving into the specs of the 4G-enabled Vibe P1, the handset flaunts a curved aluminum back and comes with an in-built fingerprint scanner.
The dual-SIM Lenovo device sports a 5.5-inch IPS 1080p display. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, working in tandem with 2GB of RAM and an Adreno 405 GPU. The phone houses a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie snapper. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and contains 32GB of ROM, expandable till 128GB.

The 4G-ready Vibe P1m is being positioned as the cheaper alternative to the P1. The device has a smaller 5-inch IPS 720p screen and is encased with a polycarbonate body. It’s safe from water with a splash-proof nano coating. Under the hood, it’s fueled by a 64-bit quad-core 1GHz Mediatek MT6735 SoC.
Lenovo has stuffed the dual-SIM handset with 2GB of ROM and 16GB of internal storage. Users can add a maximum of 32GB of extra space through a microSD card slot. Coming to its camera capabilities, it has an 8MP primary lens and a 5MP front-facing one. The smartphone comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop and weighs 148g.
Once again, the Lenovo Vibe P1 and Vibe P1m will be available via Flipkart for Rs 15999 and Rs 7999, respectively. Registrations for the latter’s flash sale begin from October 21.
