Kyocera has two new additions to its expanding range of mobile phones namely the G2G0 M2000 and Laylo M1400. Both the phones are developed to address the need for affordability and value in today’s challenging economy.

The third generation Kyocera G2G0 phone sports a 2.4 inch QVGA display, a slide-out QWERTY keypad and an accelerometer to switch from portrait to landscape mode. It measures 113 x 52 x 17mm and weighs 120 grams. The phone features a 1.3 megapixel camera with digital zoom and photo editing capabilities.

The Kyocera G2G0 also packs in various other features such as MP3 player, Voice recognition, predictive text-input software for rapid text entry, Java support, WAP 2.0 browser as well as BREW 3.1.5 technology to download games, wallpapers, ringers and more.

“The G2GO and Laylo support our current strengths as an innovative leader in handset manufacturing providing consumers with a blend of style, functionality and affordability,” explains Eric Anderson, vice president of sales at KCI. “The integration of Kyocera Wireless and the former Sanyo mobile handset group is expanding those strengths to include higher-tiered handsets going forward while still providing functional, affordable and feature-rich devices like these.”

Measuring 94.7 x 46.7 x 17 mm, the compact Kyocera Laylo M1400 phone comes with a 2.2 inch QVGA display and a self-portrait vanity mirror on the back surface. This phone offers a talktime of upto 200 minutes and a standby time of upto 200 hours. Additionally, it bundles up various other features like SMS, MMS, instant messaging, WAP 2.0 browser, Bluetooth and VGA camera.

The exact launch date and pricing details of both the Kyocera phones are not yet revealed.
